Of course, it does fade like any other paint, so spot painting anything is not recommended. Adhesion is very good, so painting over is not a problem.

Tempered glass picks up a slight wave in the heat treating process, so I use it quite often when large pieces of cylinder glass are not available. Chose your thickness.

Place the glass in the rabbits to insure clearance and straightness. Squeeze the stiles into position with bar clamps and set additional dowels at the corners.

Would also point out that you should avoid using primer on the glazing compound. It breaks the surface tension of the skin and shortens the life.
