I'm preparing to put some new boards (white oak) on my porch. I'd planned to use Boracare followed by a WRP (like Wolman's Classic Clear Wood, or ABR's X-100 Natural Seal Pre-Finish) but now I'm wondering if those WRPs are meant to be a substitute for the Boracare. They both claim to have fungicides.

I called Wolman's and they don't know what Boracare is and can't tell me what the fungacide is in their product or how far it penetrates. ABR's data sheet says it uses zinc borates.

Does anybody know whether I should use this with or instead of Boracare?

Thanks.
