Does anyone have information on how the mullioned section of a paired/side by side window connects to the window sill? Does it pass through and if so what is done to strengthen the continuous sill span that is now weakened in the middle? Or if it gets attached to the surface of the sill, what method of attachment is used and what is the typical method of transferring the weight to the rough opening below the sill. Essentially something to prevent it from sagging. The wills on these windows are 2” stock set at 18 degrees. So it doesn’t bear on the rough opening like other sill designs.[/img]
