Has anyone replaced the spring on a Fletcher#5 ?
I bought one off eBay and it only drives a 5/16" point 1/8 of an inch.
The sash would is Cypress so It not very hard.

I have not replaced a spring.
I set the point with the point driver, and then tap it on in with a glazing hammer:

Also you tap the point on in with a large woodworking chisel, if you happen to have one on hand:
