The board of directors of the Mary Chilton DAR Foundation recently awarded grants in the amount of $26,755.
One of these grants went to Marshall County Prayer Rock Museum to assist with the "Making Prayer Rock Museum and Its Programs Available Year Round" project. Other grants were awarded to the Gregory County Historical Society, Augustana College, and Tripp County American Legion.
The Foundation was created by the Mary Chilton Chapter, Sioux Falls, of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, to support historic preservation, education and patriotism in the Sioux Falls community and the State of South Dakota.
Grants are awarded three times each year. Inquiries concerning grant applications should be sent to: Mary Chilton DAR Foundation, P.O. Box 921, Sioux Falls, SD 57101.
