I have read Mr. Alan Rossís article on applying finishes to new CCA-treated wood where he states that you need to wait two to three weeks of dry weather if CCA-treated wood is still wet. I live in North Carolina where the climate is quite wet. We very seldom have a dry spell of more than a week. I am in the process of replacing the deck boards on my 15 year old patio with new CCA-treated wood. Can you give me any more guidelines to go by before I apply a finish?

it won't be that delicate left unfinished for awhile. if you don't get around to it this year, no big deal, do it next summer sometime.

as long as you don't leave it exposed to the sun for years+, it'll be ok.
