I am trying to make sure this building is what I think it might be, which is a smokehouse.

In front that looks like a little fire place to heat a "set kettle" above. Is there a cast iron kettle there? That's not a usual feature for a smoke house. But, it could be a multi-purpose building.

Does the fire place put its smoke into the house? I don't see any chimney?

Are there poles or hooks inside to hang meat onto?
