Here's a photo of the door into the house, showing how the rubber membrane runs under the door frame. Today we will put new shingles on the parapet wall, replace the door trim and storm door, and voila! Completed deck photos to follow shortly. One thing the roofer said was that the shingles need to be 8" above the rubber roof. This means that they will overlap with the rubber membrane on the walls by 4", and instead of three courses of shingles as before, there will only be two courses. The roofer explained that if the shingles are too close to the roof, they act as wicks, soaking up water that can then get inside the walls and cause leakage.

All these details look great. It sound like your roofer has his head screwed on straight. I like his comment about shingles wicking up moisture and keeping them well up and out of the water.
