I will be redoing the roof on my home. The roof is high pitched. At the bottom foot or so of the roof, its all wood with a board sticking strait up. Is this some kind of gutter? Is this the way they controled how the water ran off the roof?? Or is it for ice build up? Should I keep it this way? They are in need of replacing (dry rotted) Or should I ditch them and put gutters up?
Thanks - Ron |
