|
Hi all,
First post to the site as I'm just starting out with sash windows. I hope to make some this year.
Is there a minimum size for the putty rabbet to ensure the glazing is well seated?
Are there differences in size historically?

1/4" at the shoulder or bed by 1/2" at the neck is a good minimum size. 5/16" by 9/16" or more will allow for a little more putty and perhaps a longer service life. _________________ John
