We have several double hung windows that need restoration-- I don't want to replace them. Most of the high quality restoration shops are farther north in New England. The ones in Manhattan or closer to NYC are used to very high end jobs and too expensive.

Anyone have experience with any window restoration service in Connecticut that services southern Connecticut or Westchester County, NY?

Hi Dave, welcome to the Forum.

It's good to hear you want to save some windows.

My book, Save America's Windows, has a directory in the back that lists hundreds of window specialists nationally. There are five window restoration companies listed in the western Connecticut area.

If you get the book and no one listed can help you, let me know and I'll see if I can help you find someone.

John:

Yes, I noticed that your summary of the book said that it had an updated list of craftsmen. I purchased it through Amazon earlier today.

Thanks for the reply.

Know anything about Natural Cement for exterior stucco (render)?
(my other post in the masonry forum).

Best,
