Finally finished our first restored window here in Colorado. Very proud. Our biggest challenge? Previous owners caulked every nook and cranny and it was impossible to remove windows without wood damage. Modern caulk is a lot stronger than old wood! If I could go back in time and tear that caulk gun out of their hands, I would!

Woo Hoo! Looking good.

Post some closeup photos and descriptions of how your de-gooping of that caulk goop went and we may come up with some suggestions on it to reduce wood damage.
