After almost 10 years, the adhesive foam tape on the backside of my aluminum storm windows is beginning to fail. A little mold is visible on my interior jambs where wind driven rain has found my linseed oil finish.
I've considered new foam tape or giving in to the caulk.
Always looking to avoid toxic goop, would it be crazy to use linseed oil putty behind the storm window flanges?
Would love to hear any thoughts on the matter - thanks! |
