So I came home rather exhausted after this weekend's workshop only to find a contractor set up in a neighbor's yard with a stack of vinyl windows ready to go.

I casually asked the contractor what he was going to do with the old sash and he said "hope the garbage man will take them". I asked if I could have them, pointed at my house, and he said he'd stack them against the fence for me. He asked what I'd do with them, and I said "put them in my windows".

The haul will be a set of 6 two-over-two windows with nice wavy glass; I asked him to try to keep them intact as he pulled them out.

Now to put my new techniques into practice, practice, and more practice... eventually I'll have the skills :)

Cheers,
Rik
