What: Hurricane Relief Grant Program for Historic Preservation administered by the Mississippi Department of Archives and History

What it's for: Publicly and privately owned structures either on or eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places. Properties in the Mississippi Gulf Coast National Heritage Area (Harrison, Hancock, Jackson, George, Stone and Pearl River counties) will be given preference.

Deadline: Money available through Dec. 31, 2008, on a competitive basis.

Where to apply: Guidelines and applications available on the Web through www.mdah.state.ms.us; e-mail preservationhouse@mdah.state.ms.us; or call 435-1180 or (601) 576-6940.
